What we collect when you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, what your enquiry is about, and your message. A phone number is optional, and the form works without it.

That is all the form sends us. There is nothing hidden in it, and we do not ask for anything we do not need to reply to you.

Why we collect it

To read your enquiry and reply to it. That is the only reason.

Your message is sent to our email inbox and answered by a person here.

Who else handles your information

Three companies handle information on our behalf, and only so this site can work:

Netlify hosts the site and serves its pages. Cloudflare routes visitors to it and protects it. Resend delivers the enquiry emails to our inbox.

None of them are given your information for their own purposes, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone, ever. We do not use it for advertising and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies at all.

If you switch between the light and dark appearance, that choice is remembered in your own browser and is never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Visitor numbers

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not identify you as an individual. We see totals, not people.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is run by a separate company that counts those page views on our behalf. It is not given your enquiry, your name or your contact details.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email inbox so we can answer you and keep a record of what was agreed.

We keep them for six months, and then delete them.

Your rights, and how to use them

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to ggbearers@gmail.com and we will answer.

This site is operated from Nigeria and we handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Keeping enquiries out of the wrong hands

The form is protected against automated spam, and the site is served only over an encrypted connection, so what you type reaches us privately.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no separate notice, so the date is the honest way to tell.
